HISTORIC HOUSES AND OPEN GARDENS

THE ORCHARD GARDEN AT FENTON HOUSE
A few paces up the road from The Holly Bush you’ll find the very picturesque Fenton House, which boasts a fabulous garden that has remained almost completely unchanged for 300 years. A charming vista of lawns, orchards (the apple orchard houses more than 30 different varieties) and vegetable gardens make for a lovely setting to pass a very pleasant few hours.

KENWOOD HOUSE
Amongst the wild heathlands along the northern edge of Hampstead Heath, sits the magnificent Kenwood House. Having recently undergone significant refurbishment, it is well worth visiting to admire the stunning interiors designed by 18th-century Scottish architect Robert Adam. With an impressive art collection - boasting the likes of Rembrandt, Turner, Gainsborough and Vermeer - and 112 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, you won’t tire of looking around this quintessential English country house.

2 WILLOW ROAD
Designed by architect Ernö Goldfinger in 1939 for himself and his family, 2 Willow Road is a unique property well worth a nosy round. Its modernist design details, which were ground-breaking at the time, still feel very fresh and contemporary. The Goldfingers’ extensive modern art collection still adorns the walls, and many of their intriguing personal possessions and innovative furniture have been kept in place, too.

A SPOT OF SHOPPING

JUDY GREEN’S GARDEN STORE
GROW London exhibitor Judy Green’s Garden Store is to be found down Flask Walk - a charming Hampstead street filled with independent retailers. As well as browsing Judy’s fantastic garden accessories and flowers, there is also a great antique shop next door and when it’s time for a shopping break The Flask, a fab little pub, is right across the road.

MAUD & MABLE
You can find another of our exhibitors, Maud & Mable residing in the Hampstead Craft Antique Emporium. Representing artists and designers from around the UK, Japan, Finland and Italy, their elegant ceramic wares, textiles, wood and stone pieces are beautifully crafted and inspired by the Japanese Zen philosophy of design ‘Shibumi’.
